Valentine's Day can suck it. A) It is a stupid commercial holiday, and even if that weren't true, it can also suck it because B) I have no date. FEH. And last year I did have a date but it was with Monsieur Ennuyant, most tedious man in the world. Actually, the non-date I have this year is much better than last year's date-date: K-dawg and I are thinking of staying in, making ourselves a nice dinner, and possibly having a beer.
Steph is listening to a series of songs with titles like Love Sucks and Love Stinks, her MSN says. I love the Appear Offline function. Even if there are people online who you like, you can just stay offline and watch them all. Look at all the people! ... Uh, I have to go do laundry now.
In case you haven't noticed, I still have that cold and it's making me a bit bonkers. Which brings me to: C) I am infectious and thus even if A) and B) were not true, I should not be having mucous-membrane-to-mucous-membrane contact with anyone who doesn't have a death wish. And now, to return to writing my poli sci paper proposal (say that ten times fast!), doing laundry, and listening to London Calling. ALL AT THE SAME TIME because I am a GENIUS like that.
Have just slept nine hours and apparently need to sleep more.

Today felt so perfect, for some reason. Stuff went wrong, yes, but I was happy anyway. Everything I own (viz: printer, cell phone) is breaking and the computers at school were all down. Emily was called upon to save my soul by printing out my paper at her home and bringing it to me in class. So now she knows my Hotmail password, and I also owe her, like, a hot stone massage and a latte. On Saturday I lent my ID to a friend of Amy's; she's giving it back tomorrow, but I'm without photo ID right now because my campus card has gone AWOL again. It's like it's its vacation time, it has disappeared twice this week. And everything else I have is broken too.
Yesterday I wrote this great little rant about how awesome semi-colons are, but my computer crashed (see what I mean about everything breaking?) so the Internets are spared my punctuation rapture. Anyway, my law paper and public affairs paper are done and handed in, thank heavens. I'm going to go call my father now, because I haven't talked with him in nearly a week.
Keep cool, my babies.

Have just written the worst-cited paper ever. Let the unsupported accusations fly! I sound like a total conspiracy theorist, just like I did in the tutorial about the same subject my paper is on. Fuckeneh. Hopefully the TA won't (a) notice, or (b) think I'm a total wingnut just because I fudged a paper I only had a week to do.
Everything stresses me out just a little bit more when I'm exhausted. I can't debate anything properly or defend my position without getting all offended that anyone would deign to question my assumptions, or stressing that conflict is, like, so unproductive. And I also can't write worth a damn. So now I think it would be a really good idea if I just got four hours of sleep or so before going to class, instead of only three. Hey, that coffee lasted me a good long time. This just in: coffee and moderate doses of chocolate chips are the perfect late-night study fuel. Uh huh. Maybe throw in some vegetables, though, so as not to get the scurvy.
GO TO BED, fool! OK, OK, self, I'll take your orders.

You're Rose Sayer from The African Queen! Despite
what some might think, you are NOT just a
cold, prudish spinster. You have your own
sense of adventure, just like everyone else.
You tend to take drastic measures to cure
people of bad habits, but at least they work!
Which Katharine Hepburn character are you?
brought to you by Quizilla
Heh. Figures: I am a movie I've never seen. But yars... going to bed now, because it is far too late. I'm all amped, but I'm sure as soon as my head hits the pillow I'll be out like the proverbial light.
